CCTV-4 is the international broadcast of CCTV in the Mandarin language with a variety of programmes including documentaries, music, news, dramas, sports and cartoons.
CCTV 4 is broadcast in three separate time zones. The time zones are Beijing-China Time, Greenwich Mean Time and Eastern Standard Time. This schedule enables Chinese people abroad to watch the same programmes as Chinese people living on the mainland, on a similar daylight schedule.
